Goal Setting for Improving Results- 'You're not the Boss of Me!'
How many times have you heard it said---'to succeed in life, you need to have goals'?  Goals--goals---goals---- have you lost faith in the process of setting goals?  I find that a majority of my clients find the process of Goal Setting for improving results is uncomfortable.
Why?  Because most of us have lost faith in the process of goal setting for improving results. For many of you, your business goals have been set for you by your boss or your bosses boss or your bosses- bosses- boss! Goals set for you are not realistic, not attainable and rarely involve your buy-in.
You loose faith....in the concept, the process and the possibilities of goal setting for improving results because they are not your goals!
Ready to do it for you?  Achieve something you really want?  Consider using this plan to achieve it.  If you will follow this 8 step action plan, setting and achieving your goals will become a reality:
  1. Write your goal (something you want to achieve) on paper.
  2. Set a target date that you can realistically achieve your goal.
  3. List the reasons why you want to accomplish your goals...the real reasons!
  4. List every obstacle that is currently keeping you from achieving your goals.
  5. Identify a possible solution to eliminate each obstacle listed above.
  6. List specific action-steps to act on the possible solutions listed above with target dates.
  7. Create a method to keep score or track your progress.
  8. Use affirmations and positive self-talk tracks to support your progress.
